RECAP: 2010 SECOND ANNUAL FESTIVAL ITALIANO
The goal of Festival Italiano is to embrace the entire Greensboro community and to provide food, activities, education, art, and atmosphere that is truly Italian. This is our opportunity to step forward to celebrate a wonderful culture and a very important segment of our community! Authentic food, drink, music, art, education, Gran Fondo Bicycle Ride, games - everything Italian will be celebrated.
This just in: NBC's "The Marriage Ref" will be in downtown Greensboro on Sunday, Oct. 17, looking for married couples to appear in this season of the reality show/comedy. The show will have a booth from noon to 6 p.m. at the Festival Italiano in downtown Greensboro. The festival surprised many downtowners last year with its high attendance number for its maiden event, and evidently caught the eye of NBC scouts looking for venues to find reality show talent.
Downtown residents will certainly want to open their windows to catch the wonderful aroma as local restaurants prepare food for the day, listen to the traditional Italian music and entertainment, and to feel the excitement as hundreds of families fill the streets of downtown Greensboro on Sunday afternoon, October 17, 2010!
Come and experience traditional Italian and Italian-inspired food and drink! There will be 2 steak sandwich booths; 2 pizza booths; 2 sausage sandwich booths; 2 pasta booths and one surprise menu item - 2 wine booths; 2 beer booths; Cheerwine and more! 2 Italian Ice vendors and 2 gelato vendors...the street will be packed with food and drink!

For 2010, we welcome author Justin Catanoso to Festival Italiano. Justin will sign copies of his book, "My Cousin the Saint" at his booth; he will also speak and act as Emcee for portions of the Festival.
So, mark your calendar! This promises to be a grand event. Our chairs for the 2010 event are Sal and Frances Giaimo. They have some wonderful plans for the event.
Vendors, get your booth reservations in early as we do anticipate a sell-out. 2009 Festival participants and sponsors will be given first rights to location and menu or sales item protection. We want everyone to be successful.
